H4-5 is for hand-cyclists that have movement affected to a low degree down one side, moderately in the trunk and legs, at a high level in the legs or the absence of limbs.
These riders can use all of their trunk to generate power and transmit it to the bike with unaffected arms and hands. All use a kneeling position.
A time factoring system is used where the clock runs slower for H4’s than for H5’s to determine the race winner.
